For debts incurred as a result of being a student rather than a standard consumer (course fees etc.), student debtors should seek advice from the NUS or their Local Education Authority who can provide a wide range of help. However, standard credit debts involving loans, overdrafts, credit cards and so on should be handled as per normal credit debts.
