County Court Judgement (CCJ)

A County Court Judgement (CCJ) is the legal decision made by the Court against a debtor. Once a case has gone to Court and been upheld in favour of the creditor, the creditor is able to pursue a number of options for retrieval of monies owed, including, but not limited to ATTACHMENT OF EARNINGS, CHARGING ORDERS or BAILIFF action.

Records of an individual's CCJs are generally retained by a CREDIT REFERENCE AGENCY for six years, occasionally longer in some cases. For more information on dealing with CCJs, please contact us
